Basketball Recap: St. Charles Takes a Loss

St. Charles suffered their biggest defeat since January 9, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt a 78-35 loss at the hands of the Liberty Eagles. The Pirates' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

St. Charles' loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Liberty, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Charles will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Winfield at 6:30 p.m. on February 4th. Liberty also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Fort Zumwalt West at 5:30 p.m. on February 4th.
