Baseball Recap: Half Moon Bay's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against San Mateo last Tuesday, Half Moon Bay came back down to earth. The Cougars took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bearcats on Thursday. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bearcats earlier this season, when they won 14-8.

Half Moon Bay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Giannini, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Half Moon Bay's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-11. As for San Mateo, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Half Moon Bay will head out to challenge Sacred Heart Prep at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for San Mateo, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against El Camino at 4:00 p.m.
