Dixie put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Thornwell Saints a 21-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Dixie's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Thornwell, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

The future could be bright for both Dixie and Thornwell: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Dixie will look to extend High Point Academy's six-game losing streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Thornwell will try to hand Southside their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
