Recap: Berkmar Patriots vs. Chattahoochee Cougars
The Berkmar Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Chattahoochee 68-32. Berkmar has struggled against Chattahoochee recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Chattahoochee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Riley Berninger led the charge by scoring 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. The match was Berninger's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklinne Dorr, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds.
Berkmar bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Chattahoochee, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berkmar will challenge North Gwinnett at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chattahoochee, they will head out on the road to face off against Greater Atlanta Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greater Atlanta Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Chattahoochee is ranked 101st).
