Football Game Preview: Santiam vs. Chemawa Indian

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Santiam. They will be playing at home against Chemawa Indian at at 7:00 PM on Friday. Santiam have yet to lose; Chemawa Indian, on the other hand, are desperate for their first victory.

Santiam got themselves on the board against Culver last Friday, but Culver never followed suit. Santiam steamrollered Culver 56-0. Followers of Santiam probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.

Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Chemawa Indian lost to Sheridan, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 18-59. Chemawa Indian were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-35.

Santiam's win lifted them to 5-0 while Chemawa Indian's defeat dropped them down to 0-3. We'll find out if Santiam can add another positive mark to their record or if Chemawa Indian can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Santiam's step.
