Ocoee took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 47-0 win over the Apopka Blue Darters. The Knights pushed the score to 41-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Darters had no chance of recovering from.

Ocoee was led to victory by Damar'Eon Cawthon and Jayden Safford. Cawthon picked up 74 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, while Safford rushed for 26 yards and two scores. Cawthon got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 50 yards.

Ocoee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kendric Cidel and Dariyon Gordon. Cidel got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ocoee is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Olympia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Apopka, they will head out to challenge Evans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
