Softball Recap: Corona del Sol Takes a Loss

Corona del Sol and Sunnyside squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Corona del Sol had to settle for second. They fell 10-7 to the Blue Devils. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ellison Locke and Jemma Jones stepped up to the plate in a big way. Locke went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Jones went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Jones has launched this season.

Corona del Sol's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Sunnyside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7-1 record this season.

Corona del Sol does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sunnyside has already played their next match (against Tucson High Magnet School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
