Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson West Tigers vs. Hiawatha Red Hawks

The Jefferson West Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Hiawatha Red Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hiawatha took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Jefferson West, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Jefferson West took on Holton last Friday. Jefferson West came out on top against Holton by a score of 53-46.

Meanwhile, Hiawatha came up short against Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] on Friday and fell 57-48.

Jefferson West's win bumped their record up to 5-12-1. As for Hiawatha, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11-1.

Jefferson West didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Hiawatha when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 52-48 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jefferson West since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
