Softball Recap: Chugiak Mustangs vs. Eagle River Wolves

Chugiak can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They never let the Eagle River Wolves onto the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but Chugiak sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Abigail Lanehart looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Chugiak let Brooklyn McCormick and Megan Traxinger loose on the outfield. McCormick got on base in all three of her plate appearances with a home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Traxinger scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Traxinger has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Yanessa Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
