Soccer Recap: Fruita Monument Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Fruita Monument was not quite Grand Junction's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Tigers. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Fruita Monument couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Carter Thomas, who's now up to two this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Fruita Monument and nudges their season record down to 3-4-1. As for Grand Junction, their win bumped their record up to 7-0-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Fruita Monument will square off against Ridgway at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grand Junction, they will face off against Gunnison at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
