Basketball Game Preview: Wilkinson County Wildcats vs. Jefferson County Tigers

Wilkinson County hasn't had much luck against Jefferson County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wilkinson County Wildcats duke it out with the Jefferson County Tigers at 7:30 p.m.

Wilkinson County is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by South Pike and fell 65-15. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-7.

Meanwhile, Jefferson County came into Monday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past Enterprise with a 52-48 win on Monday.

Wilkinson County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Jefferson County, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5.

Wilkinson County was taken down by Jefferson County 65-29 in their previous matchup back in November. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Wilkinson County was down 37-14.
