Volleyball Recap: Wilmington Comes Up Short

Wilmington lost against Western Brown back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hurricane came up short against the Broncos, falling 3-0.

Taryn Allen paced Wilmington's offense, picking up 11 kills. Allen got some help from Anna Niemesh and her 16 assists. Niemesh was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Wilmington has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 17 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Western Brown, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 11-12.

Wilmington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Western Brown, they will challenge Turpin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
