It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Thompson had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won six in a row.

Maddy Henderson paced Thompson's offense, picking up 18 kills. Henderson got some help from Jayla Green and her 26 assists. Lauren Blackmon controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Thompson's win bumped their record up to 31-11. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they moved to 24-12 with that loss, which also ended their seven-match winning streak.

Thompson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against McGill-Toolen on the 30th. Hewitt-Trussville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
