Canyon Evans' Big Game Leads Glen Rose over Godley

Canyon Evans posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 309 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 30 yards. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Evans must have Godley's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Evans saw the Wildcats), he threw for 214 yards and four touchdowns.

While Ja'Marion Garrett delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Dunbar. Nobody could stop Garrett as he rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Dunbar has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Garrett and Dunbar will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Godley at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.
