Carondelet had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Granada on Thursday. The Cougars blew past the Matadors 3-0. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on five straight.

Carondelet never let Granada on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23, 25-15.

Carondelet got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maya Alster out in front who had five digs and three aces. That's the most aces Alster has posted over her last eight games. Kyra Silvestri also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Carondelet's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Granada, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Carondelet has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Foothill on the 13th. Granada has also already played their next matchup (against West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
