Baseball Game Preview: Bibb County Choctaws vs. Pleasant Grove Spartans

The Bibb County Choctaws will square off against the Pleasant Grove Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Bibb County's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Pleasant Grove has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Bibb County proved they can win big on Friday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Tuscaloosa Academy.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove got the win against Wenonah on Monday by a conclusive 20-7.

Timothy Blue was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaury Webster, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Pleasant Grove was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Pleasant Grove's victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Bibb County, their win bumped their record up to 21-9.
