Edgewood came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Madison Memorial Spartans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crusaders also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Edgewood took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10.

Edgewood found their leader in freshman Lexi Sheffield, who had eight digs and three assists.

Edgewood's record is now 15-4. As for Madison Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.

Edgewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Onalaska on the 27th. As for Madison Memorial, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Arcadia on the 27th.
