Soccer Recap: Mariner Comes Up Short

Mariner and Braden River squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Mariner had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Braden River Pirates. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, the Tritons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Mariner's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Braden River, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-0-5.

Mariner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Braden River, they will take on North Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Fort Myers will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Braden River surely won't give up without a fight.
