Baseball Recap: Murphy Takes a Loss

Murphy lost against Swain County last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Murphy fell 11-8 to Swain County. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Adam Cook was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Murphy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Swain County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Murphy will challenge Rosman at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Murphy is facing Rosman at the right time seeing as Rosman is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Swain County, they will square off against Hayesville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hayesville will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Swain County surely won't give up without a fight.
