After flying high against Logan last Friday, Newark came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell 45-41 to the Canal Winchester Indians on Friday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Newark still got an impressive performance from Bodie Smith, who threw for 330 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.3 yards per attempt, and also punched in one rushing score. The Wildcats are 2-1 when Smith posts 250 or more passing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
