Football Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

MacArthur extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 17 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-8. They had to suffer through a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Pieper Warriors. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Brahmas haven't been shut out since back in September.

As for Pieper, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. The matchup marked their most dominant victory of the season.

Isaiah Gaitan went supernova, throwing for 212 yards and four TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes. Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brady Hopper, who rushed for 87 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.

Coming up, MacArthur will be playing at home against Smithson Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rangers' defense has only allowed 13.5 points per game this season, so the Brahmas' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Pieper, they will head out on the road to challenge Victoria East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.13 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
