Football Recap: Middleton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Middleton extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They took a blow against the Alonso Ravens, falling 45-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 48-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Alonso, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 43.3 points this season.

Alonso's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Pyne, who threw for 225 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. Will Mirabella helped Pyne out on the ground, rushing for 126 yards and one TD.

Middleton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-19 loss against Blake on the 26th. As for Alonso, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Steinbrenner at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
