Softball Recap: Edsel Ford Comes Up Short

If Edsel Ford was feeling good fresh off their 17-7 takedown of Annapolis on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Thunderbirds lost 14-1 to the Roosevelt Bears on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 back in April.

Edsel Ford's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Roosevelt, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edsel Ford will welcome Lincoln Park at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Railsplitters have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.94 runs per game on average), something the Thunderbirds will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Roosevelt, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carlson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Marauders will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight.
