Softball Recap: Sierra Pacific Drops Season-High Score on Central Valley Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sierra Pacific). They were the clear victors by a 20-4 margin over the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers on Tuesday. The Golden Bears haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Anaya Zaragoza was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Webb, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Sierra Pacific always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Sierra Pacific's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Central Valley Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Sierra Pacific wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-6 victory against Washington Union on the 2nd. As for Central Valley Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Exeter on the 2nd.
