Highland had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 24-8  on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Washington Patriots as they made off with  an  11-1 win. Considering the Hawks have won 16 contests by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
Highland got a great performance from  Grayson Coppage as he  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits. What's more,  Coppage posted three  strikeouts, the most he's  had  over his last four  games.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Christian Dart, who  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Jake Gunning, who  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double.
 Highland  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits in three consecutive  matches.
As for Washington, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 13-9-1. Having soared to a lofty 11  runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
 On Washington's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Sven Dupree, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  run.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland will welcome Benedictine  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Washington, they will be playing at home against Hampshire  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Trojans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
