Preview: Lead Hill Tigers vs. Kingston Yellowjackets

Lead Hill and Kingston are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Lead Hill Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Kingston Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Lead Hill has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while Kingston will arrive with six straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Lead Hill came up short against Omaha and fell 61-48. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lead Hill in their matchups with Omaha: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the defeat, Lead Hill saw an underclassman step up: Coda Lemon scored 18 points along with 6 steals. Lemon scored a full 37.5% of Lead Hill's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Nicklas May, who scored 9 points along with 9 rebounds.

Even though Kingston has not done well against Omaha recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Kingston came out on top against Omaha by a score of 63-51.

Lead Hill has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Kingston, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Lead Hill came up short against Kingston in their previous meeting back in January, falling 57-48. Can Lead Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
