Basketball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Austin lost against Galena Park back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Austin Mustangs might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Galena Park Yellowjackets an easy 49-24 win. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Austin's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Galena Park, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-7.

Austin will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Madison at 7:15 p.m. on January 15, 2025. Galena Park will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Stratford at 1:00 p.m. on December 28th.
