Softball Recap: Calvary Academy Wins Going Away Against Lakewood

Calvary Academy won the last time they faced Lakewood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warrior blew past the Piners 20-5. The result was nothing new for the Warrior, who have now won four matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Tori DiChiara was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and four runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Ava Ciccone was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Calvary Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 22.5 runs over those games. As for Lakewood, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Coming up, Calvary Academy will face off against The Pilgrim Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
