Bachman is becoming a predictor of Friends' Central's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 2-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Shane McGarry, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Friends' Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Friends' Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for George School, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. George School has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .493. However, it's not like Friends' Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .494. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
