Soccer Game Preview: Riverside vs. Potomac Falls

Riverside's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Briar Woods with a sharp 7-0 win. Give Riverside's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Potomac Falls fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Independence on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 3-1 to Independence. Potomac Falls haven't had much luck with Independence recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Riverside's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five contests. As for Potomac Falls, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
