Football Recap: Castle View Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Castle View was the 37-16 winner over Douglas County when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sabercats lost to the Huskies on the road by a 23-7 margin on Thursday.

Drew Reid threw for 102 yards on ten of 19 attempts. Ethan (EJ) Joiner was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards. On the ground, Carter Henman rushed for 96 yards.

It was another big night for Nolan Case, who rushed for 252 yards and one TD while picking up 13.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 55 receiving yards and one touchdown for Douglas County. Case's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards.

Castle View's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Douglas County, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Castle View has already played their next game, a 55-13 defeat against Legend on the 26th. As for Douglas County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 44-20 victory against Chatfield on the 25th.
