Soccer Game Preview: Independence vs. Glendale

The Independence Patriots will venture away from home to face off against the Glendale Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Independence came up short against Tolleson on Friday, falling 4-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Patriots were already down 3-0.

Meanwhile, Glendale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 4-0 to Washington. Considering the last time the Cardinals couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Glendale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Independence, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-3.

Independence beat Glendale 5-3 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Will Independence repeat their success, or does Glendale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
