Athens Academy lost to Banks County last Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Spartans walked away with a 3-1 win over the Leopards.

Athens Academy can attribute much of their success to Riley Harding, who had 12 digs and two assists. Those two assists gave Harding a new career-high.

Athens Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are a perfect 12-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

When it comes to explaining why Banks County lost, don't look at Annie Davis. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs.

Athens Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-12 record this season. As for Banks County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-13.

Athens Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Providence Christian Academy on the 6th. Banks County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
