Basketball Recap: Udall Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Udall took a 59-43 bruising from Norwich. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Norwich this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-26 last Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Udall still got an impressive performance from Jordan Hornecker, who went 7-for-17 to rack up 20 points. Hornecker continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. James Hornecker was another key player, putting up seven points and seven rebounds.

Udall dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Norwich, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Udall will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cedar Vale/Dexter at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026. Norwich and South Haven will compete for holiday cheer on Friday.
