The Hatchets came up short against  the Panthers on Saturday, falling  14-1. The Hatchets' loss continues a  trend for the  team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.
 Washington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  John Chapman, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  doubles and one  RBI.
Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Jennings County, their win was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 1-2.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Panthers beat Washington by a score of  6-5 later that day.
