Softball Game Preview: Maurepas Wolves vs. Northlake Christian Wolverines

The Maurepas Wolves will square off against the Northlake Christian Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Maurepas and French Settlement meet (six straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Wolves lost 11-0 to the Lions. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Northlake Christian got the win against Slidell on Thursday by a conclusive 9-2.

Abigail Willie made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Willie was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Sydney Fraher was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025. Sam Raimondi was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
