Baseball Recap: Mortimer Jordan Comes Up Short

Mortimer Jordan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-6 to the Gardendale Rockets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-3 back in February.

Braylon Disko was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was John Owen Dean, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Mortimer Jordan's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Gardendale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Coming up, Mortimer Jordan is taking a road trip to take on Hayden at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Gardendale, they will host Vestavia Hills at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
