Central had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Athens on Monday. Central never let Athens get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The Red Devils not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 8th.

Central is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. Athens moved to 13-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
