Basketball Game Preview: Hinton Blackhawks vs. Akron-Westfield Westerners

The Hinton Blackhawks will head out on the road to face off against the Akron-Westfield Westerners at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hinton is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Hinton against St. Mary's as the team secured a 74-47 victory. The Blackhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Akron-Westfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 46-39 win over Gehlen Catholic on Tuesday.

Hinton pushed their record up to 17-0 with the victory, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.4 points. As for Akron-Westfield, their record is now 10-8.

Everything came up roses for Hinton against Akron-Westfield in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured a 60-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hinton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
