Recap: Walker Wolverines vs. Lassiter Trojans

It was a good run, but the Walker Wolverines unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lassiter. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Walker has scored all season.

Despite the loss, Walker still got an impressive performance from Noah Pederson, who scored 20 points. The game was Pederson's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anderson Carey, who scored ten points.

Lassiter was led to victory by Kyhir Torrence and Jaden Emmanuelli. Torrence scored 13 points along with three steals, while Emmanuelli scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Anthony Venuti was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds.

Walker's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for Lassiter, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

Walker's road trip will continue as they head out to face Marietta at 4:30 p.m. on December 21st. Marietta will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Walker is ranked 83rd). Lassiter and South Forsyth will face off at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. South Forsyth has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 204 points over their last three contests.
