North Providence faced Mt. Hope in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Cougars came up short against the Huskies, falling 3-0. The Cougars have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-15.

North Providence's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Mt. Hope, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2.

North Providence has already played their next matchup (against Times Squared Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mt. Hope, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Davies Career & Tech on the 19th.
