Softball Recap: Ashland Clockers vs. Norwood Mustangs
Ashland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Norwood Mustangs, falling 18-3. If the Clockers were looking for revenge after losing 13-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Ashland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Kotch, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Katie Lymburner-Jensen was another, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Ashland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Norwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ashland will face off against Keefe Tech at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Norwood, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bellingham at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th.
