Recap: Marionville Comets vs. Lockwood Tigers
In what's become a running theme this season, the Marionville Comets gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 64-26 victory over Lockwood. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Marionville.
Marionville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lanie Stokes out in front who scored 18 points along with five assists and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dally Pomeroy, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Marionville is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Lockwood, they dropped their record down to 15-8-1 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Marionville will be playing in front of their home fans against Miller at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Marionville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lockwood, they will head out on the road to square off against Sarcoxie at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
