            Volleyball Recap: Lauralton Hall Crusaders vs. Branford Hornets        
        
		
        
        
            Lauralton Hall extended their losing streak  (dating back to last season) to nine  on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-8. They lost  3-0 to the Branford Hornets. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in September of 2024.
 When it comes to explaining why Lauralton Hall lost, don't look at  Maja Brown. Despite the final result, she  had 14  digs and one  assist.
As for Branford, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4. That three set margin sets a new team best for them this season.
  Julianne Henkel produced another solid  effort  getting ten  aces and seven  digs. She is also on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 14 or more in each of the last 21 games she's  played dating back to last season.  Erin Murphy was another key player,  getting 12  digs and four  aces.
 Lauralton Hall has already played their next matchup,  a  3-0  loss against Hamden on the 22nd. As for Branford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  3-1  defeat against West Haven on the 24th.
