Basketball Recap: Rockford Auburn's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Rockford Auburn won the last time they faced Belvidere North and things went their way on Wednesday too. Everything went the Rockford Auburn Knights' way against the Belvidere North Blue Thunder as the Rockford Auburn Knights made off with a 57-34 win. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Blue Thunder are ranked 465th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rockford Auburn's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amir Danforth, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 18 points. Tazheer Henderson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards.

Rockford Auburn moved to 13-11 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Belvidere North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.

Rockford Auburn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-66 victory against Harlem on the 31st. Belvidere North has also already played their next contest, a 60-47 loss against Hononegah on the 31st.
