Volleyball Recap: Central Christian Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games + How To Watch

Central Christian won the last time they faced Cuyahoga Heights and things went their way on Saturday too. The Comets blew past the Red Wolves 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kate Holton, who had seven digs and three aces. Those seven digs gave Holton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sarah Miller, who had nine digs and one assist.

They weren't the only good servers: Central Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive matches.

Central Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Cuyahoga Heights, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11.

Central Christian and Cuyahoga Heights could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Comets will square off against Norwayne at 7:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (318 vs. 79). Meanwhile, Cuyahoga Heights (ranked 594th) will meet Kirtland (ranked 249th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
