Softball Recap: Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Takes a Loss

Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bradford Prep Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-9 last Tuesday.

Cecelia ?CC? Aurelio was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Madison Dabbs was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bradford Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy will venture away from home to take on Piedmont Community Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bradford Prep, they will challenge Pine Lake Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
