Soccer Recap: Atlanta Classical Academy Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

With a playoff win on the line, Atlanta Classical Academy rose to the challenge on Thursday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Irwin County Indians 3-2. That's two games straight that Atlanta Classical Academy have won by just one goal.

Sally Berry and Leighton Maynard scored all three of Atlanta Classical Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 31 goals.

Atlanta Classical Academy pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four matches. As for Irwin County, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-2.

Coming up, Atlanta Classical Academy will challenge Lake Oconee Academy on Thursday. Irwin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
