Basketball Recap: Plenty Coups Piles Up the Points Against Reed Point/Rapelje

A well-balanced attack led Plenty Coups over Reed Point/Rapelje in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Plenty Coups Warriors blew the Reed Point/Rapelje Renegades out of the water with a 70-27 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-17.

Reed Point/Rapelje's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landen Bryant, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards. That was a full 40.7% of Reed Point/Rapelje's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marshall Ulmer, who had 12 points.

Plenty Coups' win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for Reed Point/Rapelje, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
