Basketball Recap: Sweetwater Comes Up Short

Sweetwater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the Taloga Panthers. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Sweetwater's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Taloga, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Sweetwater will square off against Sharon-Mutual at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Taloga, they will face off against Olustee/Eldorado at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
